Residents: Balcony/Terrace Cleaning & Watering Plants
It has been brought to our attention that there are residents who are cleaning their balconies/terraces with water and watering their plants on the balcony, which is causing the dirty water to flow down to other units and balconies, consequently damaging their units and balcony’s furniture.
While we understand that plants are wonderful to look at and help liven up balconies, we ask that residents take the correct precautions to ensure that plant care does not cause problems for your neighbours. To prevent excessive water from draining to the units below, plants pots should have a tray/container under them when watering. This will stop the water from flowing down to other units.
Should you wish to clean your balcony, please use a damp cloth rather than running water over it, as this dirty water will also drain on to the balconies below and cause a mess for those living there.
13. BALCONIES AND TERRACES
(d) No Owner, occupant or tenant shall do or permit anything to be done on a balcony, or terrace which does or may unreasonably disturb, annoy or interfere with the comfort and/or quiet enjoyment of the Units and/or Common Elements by other Owners, occupants or tenants.
As a result of this behavior, and because it contravenes the Corporation's Declaration, By-Laws and Rules, which all owners and/or residents are required to abide by; we are requesting ALL residents to discontinue it/ensure it stops. Should residents continue to affect the suites below by damaging them in such ways, the unit owner responsible will be charged back for the cleaning costs of the balconies below.
Thank you in advance for your anticipated understanding and cooperation regarding this issue. As always, should you have any comments or concerns you would like to express to us, please email Property Management at Admin@EmeraldCityOne.com.
All the best,
President of the Board of Directors
of Emerald City One - TSCC 2368.
